Blue Jays right-hander Jesse Litsch, who is on the disabled list with right forearm/elbow tightness, has been given the green light to resume throwing after a Monday consultation with Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala.
"He's going to be heading down to Florida," manager Cito Gaston said. "Everything is good. He's probably going to be throwing off flat ground for about two weeks before he can throw off the mound. It's very good news."
Litsch was 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in two starts before going on the DL. He was 13-9 with a 3.58 ERA last season.

Litsch looked bad his first couple of starts, but honestly, anything is better than Burress.

This is wonderful news! A rarity comming from that Andrews cat.
I was beginning to loose faith in the universe as a nice place to be.
But God: why couldn't you take Litch and leave us Marcum? WHYYY?!
But along with Casey's outing, it is nice to see some encouraging news on the injury front.

Also noticed this tidbit:
Notes:@ Toronto RHP Casey Jansen threw 37 pitches and three innings Monday in his first minor league rehab start with Class-A Dunedin. Jansen, who went on the disabled list March 27 with a sore right shoulder, allowed two hits, struck out three and walked two. ...
He's still going to get some rehab starts before they consider him for the rotation, but it's still a good sign.
