Oooooh majority think we'll be in the mix.

Obvious questions regarding starting rotation, but will be in the mix nonetheless.

Buy or Sell

Are the Blue Jays for real?

Bill Plaschke: No pitching... After Halladay the Jays are in trouble

Woody Paige: 5 blown saves, but 10 come backs mean they can compete.

Jay Mariotti: Aaron hill could be MVP, rotation drops off after Doc and thinks BJ Ryan is done for the season. Very impressed with the best hitting team in baseball.

Tim Cowlishaw: Real enough to compete with Red Sox and Rays in the AL East and feels the Yankees will drop off and won't matter.

Not much, but at least it's news.

Blue jays talk coming up on PTI.

Will cap.

edit* they ran outta time, so it was a one liner.

Kornheiser asked Wilbon if the Jays were the team to beat in the AL East, Wilbon said no. That's all lol.

I actually watched this. These guys don't know anything about the Jays at all.

That's not so bad. Wilbon is brutal at predicting things in every sport.

For that one guy to complain about the Jays rotation, and then bring up a bunch of guys who won't even be in the rotation in 2 weeks, was pretty stupid.

And then for the other guy to complain about blown saves? The Jays have one of the best bullpens in baseball.

Vernon Wells was on the Jim Rome show today as well. Nothing major. Talked about Manny, steroids, Cito, and being under the radar as a team.

Seems the general consensus is we just haven't played anyone for real. And that generally means the Yanks, Sox and Rays. Rob Neyer was saying the same stuff on the Fan590 earlier today.

The Yanks and Rays look anything but "for real" at the moment.

The Yankees in particular look godawful.

I think the Yankees lost something when Torre left. He was the best at getting a bunch of overpaid babies to get it together to at least make the playoffs every year, if not win a chip.

I think the Red Sox are going to eventually overtake the Jays. The Jays will simply have to hope they are in wildcard contention come the end of August.
