i can't find the box score to confirm it, but I saw in the paper that the first game of the Marlins' doubleheader had zero people in attendance.
anyone know the reason why?

I saw the highlights and noticed only a few hundred people there.

The crowds are usually pretty sparse there even for the typically big draws like the Yanks and BoSox. They've been fielding pretty good teams over the past few seasons even while letting much of their established talent walk.

It's a funny sight to see on home runs when a guy has to run full across the stadium to get the ball cuz there is no one else there.

It says the attendance 12,045, although that is probably paid attendance.
