Tampa Bay Rays

Vs.

The Toronto Blue Jays!

Game 1: Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

7:07 PM, TSN

Marc Rzepczynski Vs. James Shields

Toronto Scout Report incorrect

Rays: Shields allowed five runs in Wednesday's loss to the Jays at Rogers Centre but pitched better than that number suggests. He gave up three runs through the first seven innings, and one was unearned as a result of a fielding error by first baseman Carlos Pena. Shields gave up back-to-back solo home runs in the eighth before being pulled with 7 1/3 innings under his belt. He allowed seven hits in the effort, striking out eight batters while walking only one. The three home runs he gave up tied a career high.

Game 2: Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

7:07 PM, TSN

Brian Tallet Vs. Scott Kazmir

Scouting Report:
Blue Jays: Tallet logged a decent six innings in a loss on the road to the Yankees on Friday. Making his 16th start since being moved out of the bullpen, Tallet allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and finished with three strikeouts and four walks. In the fifth inning, the lefty walked in a run with the bases loaded and later had a run score on a passed ball. In his career against Tampa Bay, Tallet has gone 2-0 with a 1.72 ERA in 13 relief appearances.
Rays: Kazmir took his fifth loss of the season Friday night when he allowed one earned run against the Rangers. The left-hander continues to fight against his pitch count as he reached 99 by the end of five innings against the Rangers. Kazmir's fastball velocity has been better since he returned from a stint on the disabled list, but he needs to spot his fastball with his slider and changeup in order to be successful. Kazmir is 3-4 with a 3.44 ERA in 11 career starts against the Blue Jays; he is 22-17 with a 3.59 ERA in 66 career starts at Tropicana Field.

Game 3: Thursday, July 9th, 2009

12:08, Rogers Preview

Roy Halladay Vs. David Price

Scouting Report:
Blue Jays: Halladay endured a rough outing his last time out, allowing five runs on nine hits in a no-decision at Yankee Stadium. Toronto's ace surrendered three home runs for the first time since last September and issued three walks for the first time since last April. Halladay finished with three strikeouts in seven innings. In two starts since returning from a stint on the disabled list, Halladay has gone 0-1 with a 4.85 ERA, allowing seven runs on 14 hits with an uncharacteristic five walks and four home runs surrendered over 13 innings.
Rays: Price followed his strongest outing of the season with his worst Saturday night in Arlington when the Rangers chased him after 1 1/3 innings. The rookie left-hander allowed just three hits, but among those hits were a three-run homer to Andruw Jones and a three-run double by Michael Young. Price walked five and struck out three en route to his third loss of the season. Price's fastball command dictates how he will fare and clearly he struggled locating the fastball Saturday night. During his last three starts, Price's fastball command has been off and on and his slider has lacked depth, which has made it easier for hitters to handle. Price will be making his first career start against the Blue Jays; he is 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA in five career appearances at Tropicana Field.

we need this series, also, CXT and choc for mods.

Hopefully we can string some wins together before the all star break, and I think we can take 2/3 in this one, and hopefully sweep the Os.

I read the phrase 'sign and trade' so many times over at that other board and I think my head is going to spin. Let's Go Blue Jays!

So the top graphic is almost entirely unreadable as it's too high on my TV.

I guess I need a wide screen.

Haha don't worry about it. There are what, two threads open over there that solely discuss the mod team? If you give people a venue in which to discuss the modding then you've got to expect to take some heat. I'm surprised you guys have let those silly threads stay open, although the 'Day in the Life' one was pretty funny. Or, the OP was anyway.

lol...

how do you mods decide if a thread should be locked or deleted? It seems like this "Derozan" is just cluttering the 1st page with nonsense...

This team just doesn't have the clutch hitting. Another wasted opportunity.
