I love how much less effort has gone into the Game Thread OPs as the season has progressed. Anyway, not expecting much, but I'll watch anyway (because I'm a dummy).

Hey let's go Jays. We're going to need to sweep a few good teams if we want any chance of playing a meaningful game in September and this here would be a good start. Hopefully the team is regrouped and has left the abomination of the last two months behind.

I hope they make it respectable - I've got great seats for Sunday's game and lucked out by possibly watching Doc make his final start as a Jay.
Let's keep it competitive.

4-1 for the Sawx... Not a good outing by Slick Rick and GG offense yet again.

Looks like Tallet has gone back to the bullpen. He was pretty good for a while but it was probably unreasonable to expect him to be a starter for the whole season. Hopefully Marc Rz. can have a strong second half.

Whoa, the Jays dropped 5 runs while I was out running errands. They can still take this series.

Carlson needs to be sent down. He doesn't deserve to be in the bullpen anymore. Pathetic.

Excuse me? He gave up a solo shot that probably won't matter and then got two outs. How on earth can you qualify that as pathetic?
Nice catch by Rolen with the shift on btw.

He got bailed by two great defensive plays. Had it not been for those 2 plays, he would have given more runs.

Rolen made a great play but Hill's wasn't anything out of the ordinary; most second baseman would get it done. Besides, even if both of those balls had gotten through it would have only been two singles. You're overreacting.

I didn't see the game, so this may be the case, but...
Wait, no, **** that. I was going to talk about how awful he has been the rest of the season, but I can't get past "only two singles". Only two singles? You mean only two singles on top of the home run?
Ideally a pitcher gives up roughly a hit an inning plus a walk every 2-3 innings. Two hits and a home run is an awful outing for one inning, regardless of only one run scoring. But saying that alone would be forgetting that if those two outs were hits, he would have pitched all of
zero innings before being pulled.
Also, Jesse has pitched poorly all season long.
