another one of JP's **** moves
http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2009/07/b ... lucci.htmlThe Blue Jays designated outfielder David Dellucci for assignment to make room for Joe Inglett, according to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian. Dellucci, 35, started the year with the Indians, before the Jays signed him. He only managed one hit as a Blue Jay in 25 at bats.

How is this a dumb move? Unless you're referring to signing Dellucci in the first place. Inglett deserved better than being sent down in the first place, especially for Russ Adams.

OP: when you get a veteran literally for free, its not a dumb move.
he was a utility player who, sadly, looks like he's at the end of his career.
has lost all of his big league abilities.

Of the dumb moves JP has made this isn't the one to be upset about. Our outfield depth was a little low after Snider was sent down and then got injured and Inglett didn't do the job when he was up here. Signing a vetern like Delucci wasn't a huge risk...it certainly didn't pay off, but it was worth a shot. The idea was to try and limit the amout of time Lind played in the outfield.
I like Ingeltt and am glad to see him back up...but the Delucci move was worth a shot. No fault to JP on that one.....now everything else...that's a different ballgame all together.

I'm sorry but we all knew Delucci was long done and he wouldn't change anything, ofcourse that is everybody except JP and Mustard Tiger. This is just JP trying to put lipstick on a pig
