Just heard this on The Fan. Apparently the team is on the road once again for Canada, Victoria Day and the August civic holiday. I don't know if the schedulemakers are ignorant or indifferent to Canadian holidays, but these schedules are starting to become a little insulting. From a business sense this hurts the Blue Jays because they're losing out on dates that could potentially be very good for gate revenues, but I think this is much more tragic for us as fans. I know that schedulemaking is extremely complicated and difficult, but I don't think it's too much to ask for the league to accommodate 2-3 Canadian summer holidays. Stuff like this tends to bother me more than the actual team's ineptitude, because it's indicative of MLB's decidedly tiered commitment to fans.
