Just heard this on The Fan. Apparently the team is on the road once again for Canada, Victoria Day and the August civic holiday. I don't know if the schedulemakers are ignorant or indifferent to Canadian holidays, but these schedules are starting to become a little insulting. From a business sense this hurts the Blue Jays because they're losing out on dates that could potentially be very good for gate revenues, but I think this is much more tragic for us as fans. I know that schedulemaking is extremely complicated and difficult, but I don't think it's too much to ask for the league to accommodate 2-3 Canadian summer holidays. Stuff like this tends to bother me more than the actual team's ineptitude, because it's indicative of MLB's decidedly tiered commitment to fans.

I think he's saying the Jays are playing, but not at home on those days, when tons of people would come out to see the game.

It's really odd they miss so many holidays here.

You would think Rogers would be pretty upset over the lost revenue.

First home games vs the white sox! Everybody better give Rios the standing ovation he deserves.
