Sorry, I normally scorn that sort of headline, but we all know what's coming. The only question is, how fast does JP leave town on a rail (actually he doesn't reside here, but still)?
Does Rogers want to look classy and wait a bit, or like they're sending a message to fans and do it immediately after the last out (by VW, if there's any justice)? Without a Colangelo in the wings, the assumption is that it's too late to do a mid-season Babcock.

he should be fired via press conference on the field right after the final out of the year is recorded.

Well I think that JP's mortality as GM is related much more closely to the arrival of the new president as opposed to the end of the season. If Beeston can't produce a new pres, I wouldn't be surprised to see JP running the ship right through the offseason.
Also, what the **** is up with your sig? A 'disclaimer'? Is that really necessary? Methinks you doth protest too much.

If it was a home game they could have did it during the 7th inning stretch. "Fans, if you would like to have JP fired, then make some noise!" and then you see the little meter going up as it gets louder and then reaches the "Fire JP" mark. Followed by a shot of bare chested Choco, Schad, Tsherkin waving their shirts in excitement.
