Triple-DoubleFlirter: Jason Kidd, Rajan Rondo..Jarret Jack ?

We all know Kidd and Rondo for being outstanding rebounding guards along with assists, amongst the top in the league but how about Jarret Jacks last 3 games as a starter.
Dec 11 vs. ATL L 89 - 111 32 minutes 2 rebounds 6 assists 13 points
Dec 09 @ MIL L 95 - 117 33 minutes 6 rebounds 7 assists 12 points
Dec 08 vs. MIN W 94 - 88 37 minutes 7 rebounds 8 assists 17 points

Today 11 points 7 rebounds 4 assists (and counting in the first half)

I'm impressed with Jack as a starter, he rebounds very well for a 1 guard, and Jose will be out the next two games as well, I'm curious to see if his great rebounding will continue, if it does you'd have to consider him one of the top rebounding points guards THIS SEASON...possibly in the same class as Kidd and Rondo ?

yeah definately he's definately shown hes one of the better rebounding pg's in the league over the last stretch......... i think we all knew he would be aggressive and be a leader by starting, you can tell by how arron brooks' afternoon has gone.......definately a change from Jose "Hamstring" Cal-eron

Anyone else think that banks is actually doing a good job keeping his man contained?

Kidd has been rebounding very well for his entire career. Jack has a few thousand rebounds to go before I consider him to be in the same class as Kidd.

I won't say Jack is a good rebounder like Kidd. Bargnani tapped out some of those rebounds to Jack.
But I like he runs back to get the ball. This is what we are missing as a team (with Jose).

Assists wise, he is not at the Kidd level, maybe Rondo.
However, his quickness is below Rondo, but he is quick to recover his man, and willing to run back for transition and cut off the ball handler to reduce fast break chances.

I think he did a decent job, better than the last two games. Also, his team defense/awareness is great.

He must've been kidding. As for Jarret Jack-of-all-trades, I think he's comparable to Rondo, and think he would improve the Celtics if the two switched places and the rules were amended so that each point guard was required to tie his sneakers before initiating a play. It could be the natural way his eyebrows are situated, but his countenance is one of constant modesty, which I think would be of value to the brazen demeanor of the Celtics. Ray Allen is really the only player on the team that I can stand, and maybe Scalabrine too lol.

Not in the same class, but good enough.

Most of Jack's rebound are long rebounds. He doesn't crash like Rondo or Kidd.

Anyone remember who are the free agent PGs this year? And did we make the best choice from it?

Jack
Session
Miller
...

Seems like Jack is the right fit.

I wanted Sessions more than Jack because of potential. But leadership is much better.

Brooks scored the majority of his points with Banks on him today.

Aaron Brooks is normally unstoppable, no matter who's guarding him.

If Jose's out for a longer period, I'd actually love to see Marcus get some minutes at backup PG. The guy has barely played the last 2 years, so its unreasonable to expect him to impress right away. He's just not used to it, he's rusty, and within the next 2-3 weeks I expect to see improvement from him just like Jarrett has.

The guy has the perfect body and speed to be a backup. He has another year so why not use him?

I also don't get why everybody hates him. It's not like he has really killed us when he was on the floor.

He might hurt us because of his rustiness, but if Jose's out for a longer period we'll see Banks evolve into a decent backup. That way Jarrett Jack doesn't have to play 40 minutes every game. And it's all up to the coaching staff if they'll trust Banks or not.

Right now Banks is trying to make big plays when he should just ease himself back in by making simple plays. I have been impressed with his D though and I still think he's got the best D out of any of our PG's
