ESPN Insider - A Possible Bosh Free Agent Possibility

Post#1 » by homestar » Mon Dec 14, 2009 7:28 pm

So, On ESPN's NBA homepage they have a link to an Insider article about the possibility of Bosh being traded to the Thunder? Anyone with an Insider membership care to have a look, and see where they are coming from?! What could the Thunder have that we would want?!

I'll bet it is about him in free agency.

Jeff Green is a pretty good player, I also like Thabo and Harden. We'd never get Durant or Westbrook.

i do , I'll go check it out.

Just free agent speculation. Not much of anything

... And as ESPN's Jalen Rose notes, they could be a force with the addition of a big man that draws double teams.

"If the Thunder can get a Chris Bosh or Amare Stoudemire-type player, they will be contenders in the West," he writes. "They need a power forward who can draw double-teams, defend the post and rebound his position."

Remember this, too: the Thunder have the projected cap space to sign a Bosh or Stoudemire. If neither minds playing in a smaller market with a younger team, the Thunder's talent and skill level -- and possible playoff appearance this spring -- might be an attractive sell.

I wouldn't normally post insider content, but this isn't content. It's poop.

I saw something on this the other day but it was just speculation that Bosh would be a great fit there with the core. Jalen Rose may have even said it.

I just don't see Bosh wanting to play in a small market even if its the best fit. And I don't know who owns OKC. Will they spend tax money to win? That is another big key.

If we don't get one of Durant or Westbrook, then there's no deal. I'm not interested in Jeff Green.

We don't want anything from them really, unless they're willing to take Hudo with Bosh.

It would basically either be Durant, or Green and Westbrook because anything less than that would be stupid for the Raps. 2 for 1 seems unlikely and Durant for Bosh would be a pretty big steal for us at this point so....unless BC plans on getting rizzaped by a Bosh for Green plus picks/expiring deal I don't see why we would trade with them...

I think Harden, Green, and their next year 1st round pick would be the most likely peices to be moved. Can't see them moving Westbrook or Durant.

Hate to say it, but if Colangelo feels we will lose Bosh no matter what Jeff Green is a pretty good return. Solid, versatile young player that will be good for many years. He's no Bosh, but he'd be a better fit on this team than someone like Beasley.

Durant is the only guy OKC wouldn't give us, for Bosh.

Thabo/Collison/Green for Bosh
why was hakeem called "the dream"??"

Because it rhymes with 'Olajuwon'.

There is a 100% chance it isn't Durant.

If, down the road, BC decided it was best to trade CB I wouldn't mind a package of Thabo or Harden/Green/Collison or Thomas. I think that's a pretty generous return.

A trade rumour is like free crack in this board. I swear, it's like sprinkling fish food into the aquarium and the big frenzy ensues.
