Just perusing the list of winners.... No sooner than they name the award after Edgar Martinez, who won it 5 times, David Ortiz goes on to win it five times IN A ROW! Wonder if he'll ever pull off a 6th.

Isn't it odd that they named an award after Edgar Martinez and Martinez is not even in the HOF, and he may never be.
