E5 suffers burns to face from firecrackers

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4790334Encarnacion suffered first- and second-degree burns in the forehead and the right side of his face when a rocket firecracker hit him in the jaw and exploded near his mouth while celebrating with family in his home of La Romana.
"Thank God everything is OK with my face. I don't have any fractures or serious injuries and I won't need any kind of surgery," Encarnacion told ESPNdeportes.com on the phone while leaving Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Further proof that Encarnacion can't catch a moving object if his life depended on it.

Safety is very important when handling fireworks. Brian Butterfield supervision is recommended at all times.

I guess it's good the Jays set off a foghorn when they hit homers now instead of Fireworks. Everytime we hit a home run Edwin would probably duck as if someone threw a grenade at him. I can just see it now...lol

I never understand how people put themselves in situations where they stand the chance of being hit in the face with a lit firecracker. Not very bright at all. This tells me as much as I need to know about this guy.

My ex managed to get hit in the face with one...it's on YouTube somewhere. Your point applies, though.

This is a pretty dumb thing to judge a guy on. Firecrackers are explosives, and sometimes accidents are just going to happen. Did Encarnation do something dumb or unsafe with them? I have no clue, and neither do you. Don't call the guy an idiot based on two line news blurb.
