The Indians and Blue Jays are interested in Branyan, major-league sources say, but both of those clubs are considering other hitters as well.

At least it's not another pitcher!

Branyan is a decent hitter, and has a lot of pop in his bat, and could be very useful, especially if we trade overbay or wells (yeah right.)

If we can get rid of Overbay and get Branyan I would be alright with that too

How is this any different than being interested in Delgado? Branyan is another older (he'll be 35 this year), power hitting DH/1B who would take at bats away from youngsters. So why are you guys in favour of this, but were vehemently against Delgado?

I'm guessing it all comes down to money. In all honesty, Branyan has some serious whiffing issues, and would rather see Ruiz get a go.

Would be a hell of a lot better then Endy Chavez, who we apparently are also interested in )mentioned earlier in the article)....

Maybe we could convert him into a relief pitcher?
