pretty funny
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Scott Richmond(notes) from British Columbia, Canada holds a homemade gold medal while posing for a photo at the Blue Jays' spring training baseball facility in Dunedin, Fla. Monday, March 1, 2010. Richmond made the gold medal to tease his American teammates following Canada's 3-2 overtime win over the United States in men's ice hockey at the 2010 winter Olympics in Vancouver.

I am pretty sure this was part of spring-training pictures and he clearly had this plannned based on the amount of work put into the fake medal. Still funny though, I think he is still reeling from not getting to pitch for Canada at the last WBC.
