Per Bastian, he has been released. The Jeremy Reed era can officially begin.

A tough call by AA but in the end Reed had such a good spring. It would be hard to not give him a shot. I like the move. Reed looks like a good player off the pine for us.

Gathwright just didn't hit well. Sure we could've used his speed, but he has to be able to get on base first.

Doesn't Mike McCoy have the edge for 25th man?

That's what Bastian said. Then again, I don't care.

It does actually matter to me somewhat. Jeremy Reed would be like a repeat of the bad memory that Brad Wilkerson is.

McCoy does have the inside track for the 25th roster spot because of his ability to play the IF and OF.

Hey now I think we've already established on this board that terrible puns are just about all this team is going to give to us this season, there certainly won't be many wins, so we may as well take what we can get.

I kid you not, I was trying to anticipate what the Jays blogs would run with. I may be terrible people, but I win.

When your name is Joey Gathright and you're basically Scott Podsednik lite, you know that your MLB career is going to have a short shelf life.

Touche, good sir, touche. (Though, to be fair, his punctuation really sells the line more)
