Reed, Purcey and Carlson sent down

Which leaves McCoy as the last position bench player, which I knew would happen. Now it appears as though its down to Eveland/Cecil for the last rotation/lefty out of the pen spot. If Eveland makes the team, I am guessing Tallet still starts and Eveland goes as the long guy/2nd lefty in the pen. If Cecil makes it, I think he would start and Tallet goes back to the pen.

Why do they continue to believe that Tallet is a starter? The sparkling 1.53 WHIP in that role? The fact that his opponent's OPS jumps by more than 150 points after his first 25 pitches?

^ Agreed. Both Cecil and Eveland are starters way before Tallet.

Looks to be that way. Cecil is definitely going to start; now its up to Cito to make the right decision and put Tallet back in the pen with Dana starting.

With Zep out that leaves Cecil in the Rotation for sure. One has to think that Eveland gets a spot in the bullpen at the very least. This team could use a veteran presence in the rotation.
Sucks to be Reed huh? I totally thought he had that 4th spot locked in, especially after Gathwright got the boot. I hope he makes his way back to the big club at some point in time. He really deserved a shot at the big time.
This will be a very interesting year. Not in the sense that we will be winning but there will be plenty of talen to assess going forward. As a fan, it will be fun to see the kids and projects play. It will be a good year to assess what we have going forward.

He just got optioned to AAA Vegas along with Josh Roenicke.
The rotation looks something like
Marcum
Romero
Morrow
Tallet
Eveland
Rzep will probably take Eveland's spot when he comes back and McGowan can replace Tallet once we figure out what the **** is going on with him.

The rotation is actually #1 Marcum, #2 Tallet (terrible) #3 Romero #4 Morrow and #5 Eveland

It's unfortunate David Purcey did not get the chance to do what Daniel Cabrera has done for Major League Baseball.

AA doesn't seem to mind that Tallet's the #2 starter. Tallet should be bullpen and an emerg starter. nothing more.
