Marlins win game one 4-2. Brian Bruney continues to be just horrible. Gonna have to make a move soon if something doesn't improve. Not sure why we don't send down one of the young outfielders and get an extra relief pitcher up here as well.
(Late Note: I just saw we did just that, but Justin Maxwell for a starter Matt Chico)
Of all the great catches this year I think Willie Harris' last night was the best, BTW.

Game 2 today, PETS IN THE PARK!!!
My dog Bo is going to debut his sick Adam Dunn jersey, then mark the entire stadium. Maybe maul a pretzel vendor or two...
Matt Chico goes today for John Lannan, who seems to be experiencing Jason Marquis-type "arm troubles". Welcome back Matt!!!!
Unfortunately you have a tough assignment with Johnson pitching today for the Fish. He pretty much shut down the Nats after a rocky start last time out.

Re: Marlins at Nats
Big Nats win today. Nats had trouble with Johnson initially, but then jumped on him for three runs in the fourth, two off of a Willie Harris two-run blast.
Matt Chico, facing a tough all-right-handed lineup, shut out the Fish through five, but ran into trouble in the sixth, where Riggleman felt he was pressing his luck keeping the lefty in there.
Miguel Batista then came in and did a great job, but then I thought Riggleman erred in bringing in Sean Burnett. There was a lefty pinch hitter up (Petersen) for the Marlins with no one on, one out in the seventh, and Batista cruising along having thrown only 15 pitches. I saw no reason to bring in Burnett to just face one batter with nothing but righties coming up after Petersen.
Burnett got Petersen but allowed Cameron Maybin a walk next batter, and then Gaby Sanchez hit a bomb off Tyler Clippard. With Batista cruising, I just saw no need to go to Burnett/Clippard that early. Clippard recovered to pitch a great eighth and get the win, but if a guy is cruising, I think Riggleman needs to let him go until the eighth. I continue to worry Clippard will wear down.
Josh Willingham broke out of a mini-slump with a homer and a triple to be named player of the game, and Capps pitched the ninth for his 12th save.
Great win in an unfavorable pitching matchup. Nats go for the series win Sunday with Livan (4-1 0.99 ERA) going against Anibal Sanchez (1-2 4.06 ERA).

Nice series win. Willingham appears to still have an axe to grind against his former team...
On to New York tied with the Mets for second at 17-14.
