Great matchup tonight with Strasburg versus Tommy Hanson. Excited to get to the park for my free t-shirt and to watch Hanson warm up by my seats.

Apparently the match up isn't as advertised.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

Nats win the first game 3-0 on a Batista/Burnett/Storen/Capps shutout. Batista was awesome, striking out six in five innings and getting his first win of the year.

Game 2 is Livo versus Tim Hudson tonight.

Nats lose Game 2, 3-1. Tim Hudson was brilliant, going into the eighth and only allowing an RBI single to Mike Morse. He's now an amazing 10-1 with a 1.49 career ERA against the Nats. Venters and Wagner then closed the door--talk about two dominant lefty relievers this year. Jason Heyward stole home, showing off his much-deserved reputation as a potential five-tool player.

Businessman's special today at Nats Park with Craig Stammen going up against this year's very ordinary version of Derek Lowe. Be nice if the Nats can at least win the series against the NL East-leading Braves.

My fault--Scott Olsen was activated today and will go for the Nats.

The Nats take two of three from the division-leading Braves. Too bad it didn't mean much.

Ian Desmond committed another error, his 24th, but did have a great day with the bat, homering and doubling to lead the Nats to the 5-3 victory. No other player in the majors even is near 20 errors on the season to my knowledge.

Olsen was solid, and Burnett, Storen, and Capps pitched a flawless three innings after a rain delay to close it out. It appears Tyler Clippard has lost his late-inning spot to Burnett/Storen, although we'll see if the Burnett part is just a temporary thing with all the left-handed batters of the Braves and Phillies.
