Strasburg goes tonight for the Nats versus Floyd and the White Sox. Nats five under .500 and probably need at least to go 4-2 versus the Sox (31-34) and Royals to stay relevant.

It should get more interesting for Strasburg as scouting reports are accumulating.

I was thinking about that last night. But I think that'll be more of a next year kind of thing.
He was amazing again last night, but obviously the Nats gave him nothing in a 2-1 loss in 11.
Nats slipping fast, six under .500 and 9 back of first are season worsts. Jake Peavy goes against JD Martin this afternoon in a nationally televised game. Peavy has been much better after a slow start, as have the White Sox, who have won 9 of 11 now after last night.

President Obama got served by Strasburg last night. First, he showed him how to man up and throw a baseball and second, showed him how to live up to the hype.

White Sox pitching has owned the Nats this series.

They sure have. Great crowd yesterday (I think around 35k) partly because it was Zimmy bobblehead day. Little disappointed I couldn't get one but maybe I'll have better luck today (travel mug day).
Shame the Nats couldn't help out JD Martin, who pitched a good game, any more than they could help out Strasburg.
Freddy Garcia goes today for the White Sox. He's won four straight starts and gone seven innings three of those four starts. John Lannan goes for the Nats. He's gone only seven innings once all year and of those pitchers who have faced 115 batters or more, has the worst WHIP in baseball.
Nats are now ten games back at 31-38.

Nats get swept, losing Sunday 6-3. Lannan was again horrible, although he seemed determined not to walk anyone this time out at least.
Nats are currently 2-7 versus the AL East with the mighty Royals up next at the Park.
