Capps all-star; Zim could get spot

Matt Capps selected as the Nats' representative to the all-star game. There was some talk early that Clippard might have a chance, but it is of course very difficult as a middle reliever, and his recent slump eliminated him.
Zimmerman, Dunn, and Willingham all had decent shots but were outside shots at best. Zimmerman is one of five players that fans will vote on to take the final spot. Carlos Gonzalez, Billy Wagner, Heath Bell, and Joey Votto are the other candidates.
All are fairly deserving. Zimmy has a good shot not from stats but from fan base strength and name recognition. Only Wagner probably has him in that regard. I would guess Votto gets it, however.
The Strasburg debate is silly. Very few thought he should be on the roster.
Congrats to Capps, who got the news this morning from Rizzo. A shame his father passed away last Winter and didn't get to see it, I know that is on Matt's mind. Great guy who deserved it--been among the MLB leaders in saves all year.
