I wonder what's up....

Latest word is that Strasburg was having trouble getting loose in the bullpen before the game and his scratch was totally precautionary and no injury has been announced but they will perform tests, most likely tomorrow.

In other news, Nyjer Morgan just stole second and then a few pitches later stole third and scored on Brian McCann's wild throw out attempt....Nats lead 1-0 in the bottom of the the 1st

Thanks for the news excelsior! We didn't know what was going on in the bleachers until they ran something on the scoreboard in the (I think the) third inning.

No problem, I'm here at the stadium again tonight

I meant to post this on here last night, but in case you haven't heard

According to National GM Mike Rizzo after the game: The results from the X-rays were negative and the MRI showed no changes from the MRI that was taken when Strasburg signed with the Nationals. He is officially being listed as Day-to-Day with shoulder inflammation. No word on if he will make his next scheduled start which was supposed to be Sunday here in DC against the Phillies.

Lets go Nats, Take game 2!!

That was good news on Strasburg.

Nats had to be seriously worried last night.....and I wonder if they'll shut him down this season earlier than expected now.

Rizzo did say last night that this would not change his innings count so I believe the Nationals still plan on letting him throw his 160 professional innings (including minor league innings). However with the way this team has taken every single precaution with Strasburg it would not surprise me in the least if they shut him down early, but like I said the team's 160 inning plan still seems to be intact.

On Thursday morning, Strasburg supposedly feels better and has a better range of motion back in his arm/shoulder, but he is listed as doubtful for Sunday against the Phillies on the team's website.

That game's probably close to a sellout, anyway, so I doubt the franchise will risk pitching the chosen one.

Strasburg is now on the DL...

Methinks that might cost the Nats some attendance dollars.
