John Lannan against Huroki Kuroda late our time tonight. Might be able to stay up late and watch the apathetic Dodgers, who have gone through alot this year.

Would be nice to take two out of three to offset the series loss to the abyssmal Stros.

Well, what do ya know, Lannan hit a home run and Jerry freaking Hairston hit a grand salami. Didn't watch a minute of this game, fell asleep but good to see the Nats score some runs and win a game for a chance.

Hairston is killing the ball since he returned. Turned out to be a great pickup after a slow start. Nats should resign him as a utility guy. I don't want to see a new bench every year.

Have to question Davey Johnson going ahead and using Storen after the Nats scored three to lead 7-2 on Friday. Could have used him in the ninth Saturday when it was tied, and Mattheus gave up the Dodgers' winning run in his second inning of work.

Didn't see the games, though, perhaps Johnson had no option. Still, seemed curious.

Series decider today with Marquis versus Billingsley.

Looks like Wang will debut at the Park next week, with Gorzy having been bad since May.

Well, Nats will remember this if they can't win this series rubber match.

Bases loaded in the first, no outs, one run already in, and Billingsley already above 20 pitches.

Then he K's Werth, Ankiel, and Flores--the last two really easily.

Let em off the hook.

And the Nats lose 3-1. Gosh, Werth, Ankiel, Flores, could have used at least SOME CONTACT with the bases juiced and no outs. Some contact.

Nats limp home after winning one out of three in Atlanta, Houston, and LA.

What a terrible road trip. We probably could have won 4 or 5 games on this trip. I turned the game off on Sunday when they had the bases juiced with 0 outs and Billingsley strikes out 3 in a row. Nasty.
