Big game by Morse last night. It would be nice if Espinosa can pull out of his hitting funk. Zim and Morse have been hot lately and Werth hasn't been bad either.

Also someone apparently abducted Rick Ankiel because the fake one is hitting real nice out there.

Tyler Clippard is a beast.

Strasburg getting his first rehab start on Sunday.

Next year, he and JZim are gonna be a really nice 1-2 starter combo. Add Clippard and Storen for the end of games, things are looking up.

Seriously though he needs to be replaced. He's had a handful of decent starts but when he's off, he's absolutely terrible. We're 7-17 with him pitching and something like 45-40 with anyone else.

Strasburg
Zimmerman
Lannan
Wang (or any of our minor league guys)

I'm very interested in seeing how Tom Milone's game translates from minors to pros.

I would have kept Marquis to be honest. Maybe would have signed him to a 2 year extension. Very good #3 or #4 in this rotation.

What's up with Espinosa? His batting average has dropped at least 22 points since the break.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Yup - which one of the few of us here posted that it's time to stick with a young core and let them grow? Whoever said that, I agree.

Good that the Nats won tonight. Lannan pitched well enough to win - tough luck for him. But a W is a W.
