4 Game Series: Nationals (67-77) @ Mets (71-75)

Post#1 » by Rafael122 » Thu Sep 15, 2011 7:06 pm

Thread is way late, but the Nats have taken 3 out of 4. Storen has saved all 3 games, Peacock pitched pretty well last night, as did Detwiler.

Millone is up today and has pitched 4 innings so far, walked 3, struck out 3.

Nats winning their 70th game last night makes it the most wins for the Nats since 2007 when they won 73.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Nats sweep the 4 game set, very rare that a baseball team sweeps 4 games but the Nats managed to do it. Mets went 1-8 on the homestand. Ian Desmond has managed to get his average up over .250. Good for him, I've been killing this guy all year, but he has turned it around since the all-star break.
