Went out to the Park yesterday (as I do most home games) and watched the Nats win 3-2.
Not much has changed. The Presidents' Race came the other way (down the LF line), James Brown did the pre-game intros, and Gio Gonzalez had a great home debut. Zimmerman made some good plays at third, but also should have had 2-3 other balls he didn't get--including the grounder where the Reds tied it at two in the ninth off of Lidge.
Nats are 5-2 and looking great even with Morse and Storen sidelined pretty long-term now.
Strasburg bobblehead day Saturday.

Yep, Morse is out for 6 weeks, Storen is out for 2 months and Rendon is out for a couple of months as well (which means the talk of him coming up this year will probably cool down).
The offense is horrific. 7 runs the last 2 games, and they've loaded the bases at least 5 different times in the same time span, and the team is 5-2. At some point this will catch up to them, so I'm just going along for the ride.

Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Ross Detwiler got screwed twice in that first inning. This would have been a completely different ballgame had they made the right call at first, and that was a STRIKE! They won the series anyway, but still, they could have swept the Reds.
