The Nationals are in first. They have solid pitching, in rotation and bullpen, but need a bat.
They reached into the farm to trade fro Gio. Do they it again for a bat at the deadline?
If so, for whom will they trade? First place isn't guaranteed in the NL East and the Nationals need all the help they can get.

If Werth doesn't make it back, I gotta think a center fielder is in order or they may just wait until the offseason to get someone like Denard Span.
Pitching and bullpen is pretty stacked. Maybe add a bat to the bench but nothing major. Should be very interesting to see where this team is in late July.

Denard Span would be a good fit. And he wouldn't be a rental, either. Good contract.
The Nats did well in the draft; well enough to sell some of the farm for a bat.
