2012 Nats All Stars: Gio, Strasburg, and Desmond

Post#1 » by Rafael122 » Mon Jul 2, 2012 4:13 am

Bryce Harper is in the final five vote along with guys like Chipper Jones and Aaron Hill. I really hope Chipper doesn't make it in.

Gio and Strasburg were locks. Ian really has come on the last 3 weeks or so. Funny, he was a guy that I thought wasn't going to last in DC with all the errors and awful at bats. He has proven me wrong.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Yeah, the Nats definitely have looked good by keeping Desmond. Maybe they'll still keep Espinosa and Lombardozzi and platoon them as well...or one will become so good that won't even be necessary.

Congrats to Desmond. Tony LaRussa loves him BTW, that's why he was selected. LaRussa told him he was one of his favorite players last year.

Omissions with starting pitching in the NL (Greinke, Cueto, etc.) were significant, so Gio making it as well wasn't automatic either...

Come off it!

Harper has no place in this year's All-Star game.
