Game 1-
Adam Eaton, RHP (1-1, 6.94) @ Jason Bergmann, RHP (0-1, 3.72)

Scouting Report:
Phillies: Eaton rebounded from a poor Phillies debut on April 5 to hold the Mets to two runs on four hits last Wednesday night at Shea Stadium, and he said it was a matter of feeling more comfortable with a mechanical adjustment he made near the end of Spring Training. He's posted a 4.08 ERA against the Nationals in three career starts, but hasn't received a decision.
Nationals: Bergman will face the Phillies for the third time in his career. He had given up two runs in six innings against them. Bergman had his best outing of the season on Thursday, pitching six shutout innings with just one hit while striking out eight and walking four. The impressive outing comes after Bergmann had a conversation with general manager Jim Bowden almost two weeks ago. Bowden made it known that he didn't like that fact that the righty walked six batters in 3 2/3 innings in his last outing against the Diamondbacks.

Game 2-
Jamie Moyer, LHP (1-1, 3.55) @ John Patterson, RHP (0-2, 7.07)

Scouting Report:
Phillies: Moyer is coming off two solid starts to begin the season, though he uncharacteristically hit three batters in his outing against the Mets on Thursday. He is making his 16th start against the Expos/Nationals, and is 6-4 with a 3.03 ERA.
Nationals: Patterson pitched well last time out, holding a powerful Mets lineup to just two runs at Shea Stadium. But his outing was cut short due to cold weather and fatigue, as the right-hander reached only 76 pitches in an eventual no-decision. Patterson is 1-2 in five career starts against Philadelphia, though he hasn't faced them since 2005. Four of those outings occurred that year, and he finished them 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA.

Who would have thought that after 15 games, the Nats would have more wins than the Phillies?
