After this year at about 4 million, he's locked up for the next four years at about 47 million.

Went through 2013 for a pretty heftychunk of change, especially comparing it to Ryan Braun's contract, which goes through 2015 and is only for slightly more money.

Not a terrible deal for the Nats though, seems about market. But Zimmerman, although a good defender, hasn't put up nearly the numbers the guy drafted right after him (Braun) has.

Time for him to step it up a little...
