Strasburg/Storen to AA

Made official. Strasburg didn't sound all that happy about it. Of course if you pitched nine innings and gave up only 2 ER on a staff with an ERA this Spring approaching 10.00, you might be disappointed as well.

No big shock, now the kids can "develop" for a half a season at AA while we watch Livan Hernandez get shelled up in DC.

If you saw him, Strasburg looked absolutely dynamite in camp. It wasn't his velocity--it was the location of his pitches, especially his curveball.

Makes me hesitant to sell alot of my June/July Nats tickets, since we could see him then.

Storen looked good too. We'll see him soon as well.

It's the smart move right now imo.

Surely, total innings is a reason along with building confidence.

The kid looks to have the complete package, but why rush him into such a bleak situation on a not very good team?

It probably is the smart move, but really I think only from a financial standpoint.

Development-wise, we're going to be rushing him anyway up here after half a season.

But it will be good for him to ease into travelling and MLB life, I suppose.

I really think the FO doesn't want him pitching too many innings either.

I would expect that his max this year would be around 150 innings total.

By bringing him up mid season will certainly inject a ton of interest to the Nats.
