Murray looks for the pot of GOLD
Gotta say the Nuggets FO always seems to have strange timing, especially with Murray's injury history, this seems a bit premature to me. If he gets injured in the Olympics, gonna look even worse.
Welcome to Cap Hell for the next 5 years

Get him while he can't get the Super Max and at an increased cap rate.

No surprise, the Nuggets have to lock him in.

He is Under Contract thru next season, and the extension won't go into effect until after next season but couldn't this have waited until we saw how his season was progressing ?

Re: Murray looks for the pot of GOLD
I would have a problem if he signed Supermax as our FO was obviously ready to do that. But Murray didn't qualify so I'm OK with another max deal with a player who deserves it when it is most important if he is healthy enough during PO.

Re: Murray looks for the pot of GOLD
Jamal finally signs his 4-yr $208MM extension, linking him to the Nuggets for the foreseeable future. His extension now puts him on a 5-yr $244MM contract. The holdup is still as yet unknown but only Aaron Gordon’s contract needs to be renewed to keep our core in place
