That's... actually a lot longer than I expected... I was hoping he would be able to hit the floor again in a month or so.

Anyway, health is the number one concern here. Thanks for the update.

Of course, the Nuggets have weightier issues to deal with, most notably the health of forward Nene. The Brazilian big man had a tumor removed from his testicle and is awaiting the results of a biopsy to determine if it's cancerous. He's out indefinitely.

Indefinitely, in this case, might be relatively brief -- a team source told me the tumor was caught exceptionally early and was quite small, and that if everything checks out he could be playing in a matter of weeks. Nonetheless, obviously he has bigger priorities at the moment.

Having gone through this myself, most of the time, they will remove the testicle and then do a biopsy. It depends on the size and the amount of solid vs. liquid in the mass. If this happened, Nene will not be back in a few weeks as suggested. I barely was able to sit comfortably for 2 months. If it is indeed malignant, best case would be mid to late next year if all went well.

Most of these masses are a combination of solid and liquid in the mass. Convential wisdom is to remove the testicle rather than the tumor to prevent leakage and potentially the spread on cancerous cells....

I pray he doent have to endure what I did.....
