No one's side. However, if that wasn't the Nuggets I would've been glad that Collins gave that foul. I felt it sent a message that "we" wasn't going to be embarassed anymore (I was wrong) and that's something the Nuggets need to do to opposing teams. I grew up watching Ewing and Oakley. Hard fouls like that was a reason the 90s Knicks were feared. Anyway, the Nuggets fan in me wanted someone to punch Collins, just not Carmelo.

Play some defense so you won't get embarassed in the first place. The defense by the Knicks in that game was the worse I have ever seen I think.

The 90's Knicks also played defense.

big123 wrote:I look back on this Nuggets board pre-Iverson and see people that were against the trade last year, saying it will mess things up etc etc, blah blah blah.

I also noticed when looking back it's the SAME people who now have an Iverson picture in their signature.

I also noticed that this Nuggets board was decent before Iverson, but no way as busy as now.

Most seems more interested or excited now. Most feel that the Nuggets have a glimmer of hope, regardless of the positive or negative critic.

I am as quick to criticize Melo, Camby, Carter and the rest of the cast though. It isn't about a player to me so much as it is about the Nuggets. I know I bash Iverson pretty hard and maybe it is unfair to do, but I expect more from a guy with his ability. One thing I do know is an article I read sometime ago was a snip on a talk with Kleiza, and Linas gave Iverson a lot of the credit for helping his game. I think it was late last season, and he has developed into a decent player.

I don't mind the Iverson following on this board. It has brought more topics, more participation, and a handful of decent posters along with it. It seems like there is always a new thread (not always good). Like this one, I didn't even notice it yesterday, and already it is up to a gazillion pages.

The funny thing about this board is I hardly ever see anyone criticize Carmelo. I always thought it was the most important player on a team that would get criticized first. I guess I was wrong with the way most feel here.

You can also bet that Melo is finally an all-star starter this year because of AI and his followers voting for him. AI didn't need anyone for his other 11.

lmfao. Carmelo's an allstar because of A.I. Was there any possible way Dirk was going to beat him?

Btw, Carmelo gets criticized the most on here

What a ridiculous comment this is. Melo gets criticized all the time, like right now in your post, you realize AI beat out Tmac by like less than 10,000 votes right? Melo being an allstar has nothing to do with AI, in fact, AI being on this team actually hampers Melo in that category because without AI he would be relied upon more to score and distribute and he would have bigger numbers. With AI here, he doesn't need to do that.

Second of all, AI is the primary ball handler so its easy to criticize him when we lose and he shoots below 40% and has as many assists as he has turnovers. I love AI when his shot is falling, but when its not his game is painful to watch. Its like he is determined to hit some shots before just dishing the ball to whoever is hot. And in this last game, that was Melo.

Another reason AI gets criticized is because everytime someone says something bad about him, 10 new nugget/AI fans that registered when AI was traded tell us how dumb we are for criticizing their idol and start slinging out ridiculous insults like AI being responsible for Melo's (the second highest vote getter in the west) allstar appearance.

Melo get's criticized all the time? AI gets criticized because people are always defending him? Maybe when people make idiotic post like Melo4MVP did AI deserves some defense.

Name me 3 people here that defend AI excluding myself...I can name 15 off the top of my head who defend melo.

Also provide me a link where Melo is criticized to the extent of AI has on this board.

I will simply say this. Either write and complain to the GM to get AI traded or stop complaining so much..AI has done everything that has been asked of him. AI is not perfect nor is Melo by any means. Don't be bitter that AI leads this team in pts, assists, and steals and when he has bad games we lose. Both AI and Melo need to play well for this team to win period. Every player deserves some blame but the amount that AI gets is getting ridiculous.

I agree man. I think Melo, not Nuggets fans are unhappy because Melo doesn't get all the attention anymore around here. It's not even about AI, they would be ripping and critizing anyone. They all want AI to be a pure PG or anything rather than score so Melo can get his. It's pretty disturbing and obsessive. Real Nuggets fans are pretty happy about the current record and are more excited about the Nuggets potential with AI here, period!

Yeah Man. Some people around here are pretty blind. AI is far from the Nuggets only problem, even if he is one, but some around here want to blame it all on him for some reason. I really cannot see it and I've watched every single minute of all 52 games this year. Nobody ever thinks it might be that AI is just trying to do too much because AC has been freakin worthless the last 3 weeks or anything else for that matter.
