I do not think Aktins was really needed for this team. He is a waste if salary. Nene should be traded fast. We probably could have traded him to the Heat and maybe workout a threeway to get Artest or Miller but oh well. We suck and will make it into the lottery. Maybe we can get lucky and will the lottery I think Beasley would be great on this team. Oh wait fat ass Karl would play Najiera over Beasley all day long.
Iverson, Iggy, Willie Green, Sammy D, Josh Smith, Rasheed and Ben Wallace, Larry Hughes Garnett, Francis, Lebron, Melo, K Mart, Wade, Amare, Q Richardson, T Mac, DC, and C Webb

I wish some of the newer AI and Melo fans had to go through what some of us did from the late 80's until 2003.

That would give a lot of perspective.

Yeah, the last 2 out of 3 games were a waste. This game simply compounds the problem of losing the last two that should have been won. In all, it's a 3 game losing streak.

The players aren't acting all goofy like they don't care. They lost a game against the hottest team in basketball, by a few free throws, and the players are actually concerned about their play. That's a good sign.

I'd be more worried if they didn't give a damn.

Personally, I didn't think Denver was going to make the playoffs anyhow. Even before the Artest rumors started circulating.

It's no doubt this team just refuses to play defense and Artest could help. But I don't see it as that great of an impact if the plan involved moving Carmello to sg and Iverson to pg. That would be ghastly..

The only plausible way I could see Artest fitting would be to trade Carmello, replace him with Crazy Ron and possibly an upgrade at point. Obviously, that never was going to happen.

I won't argue that maybe you should have tried to make a move on some area of need, but I didn't see Artest solving all your problems. Much less, getting this team further than the 2nd round or even out of the 1st.

But..a combination of Crazy Ron, Marshmellow, Iverson, Mr. Fugazi, J.R. Smith and George Karl might have been must see tv

Only for the fact that you know sooner or later, that powder keg was gonna blow

George prefers J.R. Smith to Crazy Ron.

Artest just wouldn't of been a solid fit with Denver. Would of definitely helped partially in ways, but not enough as a whole because of the other remianing weak areas on the team. Specifically, the team's poor 3PT shooting would just be weakned with Kleiza and Najera gone. Ron's an above-average jumpshooter, but not a quality 3PT shooter (more like decent). Pretty clutch shooter, though.

Relation-wise, I think he would of been okay with the other players, but I have questionability with Karl.

Speak for yourself, not for everyone. I'm glad we didn't give up our future like the Mavs (Harris and two firsts?) or the Suns (about 5 years too late on getting Shaq). IMO, of all the big trades that went down, only the Lakers got significantly better. The Spurs also improved, but I wouldn't say significantly.

Word. 33 wins used to take us TWO seasons :)

Yao Ming is out for the season. If the Nuggets have any self respect they should be a lock to at least make the post-season as a 8 seed.

^^ agreed. the west used to be a 10 team race, but portland appears to be fading a little bit, and now with yao out, we should be able to stay ahead of them and portland, thus being in the top 8. it would be nice to get as high as possible, obviously, but i think this news today makes it much much much more likely that we make the playoffs.

If you want any respect from Denver fans learn how to spell our franchise players name correct. It's understandable to mispell words or speak in fragments you can't help that sometimes. But Melo's name is all over the place google it jsut learn how to spell it K.

They would have been gone by 91.
