Warriors upset the Mavericks. I can't see why can't it happen again with the talent pool closer than ever.

Talk about being hungry for the playoffs, Carmelo is putting up 31/10/4 on 60% in the last 5, meanwhile the other "star" is putting up 21 ppg, 7 ast, and horrendous shooting

Put out all the stops. The Nuggets must at least go 4-1 to make the playoffs. Now, the game @GS is huge. I would full court press, defense for offense subs during the whole game. Just do what it takes to win. With the way Melo is shooting, now would probably be a good time to move AI to the full point and start JR. Just play intense basketball starting right now. The playoffs start now. It's the NCAA tourney baby!! Do or die time! :D

Take a look at this stat rather. Look at the opponent production by position, and you clearly see the two big time huge holes on there, AI and Carmelo.

I don't get it, Denver's weakness is defense, and yet all what I hear is Denver fans complaining about offensive production.

if this team wants to make the playoffs, they have to beat LAC, GSW, and Memphis and losing to HOU and UTAH should hurt if they win those three and GSW lose to whom theyre supposed to lose to. Logic behind this? They are currently tied

DEN --
GSW --

a win over LAC and either way for GSWvsSAC so...

DEN --
GSW --(GSW win)
or
DEN +1
GSW -1 (GSW loss)

win over GSW

DEN +1
GSW -1
or
DEN +2
GSW -2

loss to UTAH with GSW win vs LAC

DEN --
GSW --
or
DEN +1
GSW -1

loss to HOU with GSW loss to PHX

DEN --
GSW --
or
DEN +1
GSW -1

win vs MEMPHIS with GSW win vs SEA

DEN --
GSW --
or
DEN +1
GSW -1

if the top senario happens denver gets 8th due to the tiebreaker already won they have the season series/have better conference record, and the bottom one is obvious with the one game lead. So basically, they have to win at least 3 and have to win vs GSW, no other way. So im shooting 3-2 hoping for 4-1 with a win vs GSW bc then it wouldnt matter what GSW does.

I dont know what you guys expected from Melo4MVP all he ever dwells on is Melo stats, ane when Melo has a good game and Ai doesnt he bashes Ai. When Ai has a good game and Melo doesnt, he blames Ai for Melo having a bad game. Its a lose, lose for Ai with him. I dont care if Ai averages 40 pts or if Melo was averaging 40 pts. or if they both were. Btmline if this team doesnt play d they are going to be sitting there a**es home for the playoffs. If this team played any D they wouldnt be fighting for a playoff spot. All i ever hear about is the offense should do this and that. Just (Please Use More Appropriate Word). I dont wana hear about the offense when den. is the third highst scoring team in the league. How abous some D. Dammit Im jus so frustrated with this team. How can they not get it. Melo4MVP dont be like G.Karl it seems as if all Coach Karl cares about is Offense.

Nene back can mean a whole lot more defense. Production by PF has been nothing short of terrible.

The team hasn't been playing d so ytf should I care about how they defend now? Ask Big, when A.I. plays well, I back him up. Get off my dick

no. by moving the cANSWER to point.

smith should bring the ball up.

melo should facilitate the offense.

on the contrary...the nuggets might not finish this season with 50 wins.

karl's first year the nuggets finished 49-33. remarkably...the nuggets started that season 18-23 because bzdelik was fired (for horrible coaching) and our interim coach michael cooper lost like 4-5 straight games.

karl came and our squad went on a run into the postseason.

Sports isn't like that all the time. Especially basketball with hundreds of chances to change every game. We know the Nuggets have what it takes, and the only question all season long has been when are they going to bring it?

The disappointment has come when we see them and say, wtf are they doing? We know they are better than that.

The only reality shaping up is the will to win. I've already seen much of the upside.

Seattle showed even a lesser team can win if they put their mind to it. Seattle put their mind to it, we didn't, that's reality.

Now to stay positive can we afford to forget how good this team is? Sure.

Or maybe a poll called...."keeping it real"

Accepting that this is our team for the next 5 games and that this season is still on, that is keeping it real.

If you want to move beyond that....that's cool. No one's stopping anyone from thinking that and if you have to lay the heavy hand down: Fire Karl, Trade AI for a great big with actual size and defensive presence, and a pure pg, hire a defensive coach that means it when he says this will be a defensive year, and this and that.

But accepting that this is our team for the next 5 games....that is also real.
