The year's first playoff game; Denver @ GS Apr 10th
I am looking forward to watching this game. I don't usually care much to watch games unless the Jazz are playing, but, this should be a very fun game to watch.
Best of luck, I hope nobody is injured, the refs are fair, and the best team wins.

"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Well, it's looking to me that this game is going to be decisive. Maybe it won't be, but, it sure is looking that way.
I'd say the loser of this game gets the prize of a lottery pick. But, maybe Dallas will suck so hard that it won't matter after all.

Well, not necessarily. If both teams win all the games they play before that one(Denver has games against Seattle and the Clippers, the Warriors play the Kings), the Nuggets would have a one game lead, which would really be two games, since we have the tie breaker.
We can afford to lose that game much more than Golden State can....if they lose that, their essentially out....where as we have a little leeway. Still huge in all senses of the word.

if we lose that game, we'd likely be 48-31 on friday, compared to golden state's 48-31
of course we have the tiebreaker...
the problem is that we have to go to utah and play them, then play houston the next night. @ utah is an incredibly tough game because they don't lose there, and any b2b is hard. so we likely come out of that 49-32...compared to golden state's 49-31 (assuming they beat the clippers)
and then we have to depend on golden state losing at phoenix or vs. seattle. and you never want to not control your own destiny with 2 games remaining in a season.
the wild card is dallas.
they could have 30 losses today if phoenix doesn't continue to collapse here....and they still have a couple tough games as well.

It would be a huge win, but it wouldn't be a do or die loss. Unless of course the Nuggets lose their next 2 games.
If the Nuggets win 4 out of their last 6 in any way, shape or form, they are mathmatically in. The Nuggets can basically lose their 2 toughest games (@GS and @Utah) and still be mathmatically in. No loss is more significant that any other.

No, we are up 2-1 in the season series. However, the next tie breaker is better confernce record. The Nuggets currently have the better conference record. Since both teams only have conference games remaining, it is impossible for the Nuggets to finish the season with a worse confernce record and end up in a tie recordwise with GS.
So, long story short, in the event both teams are tied at the end of the season, the Nuggets will have the tie breaker.

Are you sure about that? We are 27-20 in the conference and they are 26-21 it looks to me like they could end up with a better conference record. If we lose and they win tonight our conference records would be tied.
I see what you are saying now. If we tie them in record we would still have the 1 game lead.
