Yeah I know what you mean, in that case the Nuggs would need PHO to beat GS. I

If the Nuggets beat GS and then proceed to lose to Utah and Houston, while GS beats Phoenix at Phoenix, then I will just about shoot myself.

Good to see the Nuggs hold a team under 100 points. First time in almost a month, a month where every game was big. That's a shame.

Man if we would have taken care of business at home and again against the Sonics, we would be in the drivers seat. I am glad we put it together tonight. Now we have to hope that the shots aren't falling from the arc for the Warriors on Thursday night.

I think Yak should start. They are a perimeter team so we can't have 'em shooting right over both AI and Carter.

If you look at March there's a slight pattern. If there's a win where we give up 110 or so to the other team the next couple also give up 110 or so and then finally a couple of losses. There is a lack of discipline in the sense that a win giving up more than 102 points should still be a reason to gear up and come back the next game and only give up 99 and no more.

Or JR if he has active hands like he did tonight. Nellie will throw a zone at us, so whoever is out there is going to have to knock down a few outside shots. It should be an intense game.

Your absolutely right and it sucks. 12-7 despite scoring almost 120 per the last month (#1 in the league in that span).

O: Melo (I hope he stays hot forever, but if he doesn't, he needs to do other things. 5 boards, 1 dime and 2 TO's, while his man was the only one doing a thing on O is unacceptable. I hope he doesn't fall into "if my shots not falling, all is lost" mentality.)

D: Camby

Did you even watch this game because If you are talking about C.Mobley AC guarded him more than anyone else in the 1st, CM had10 ponts in the first with AC on him so how is that Melo fault.

Here is CM scoring and in () is who he scored aganist.
1st Qtr
(8:19 )Cuttino Mobley makes 16-foot two point shot (AC)
(7:41))Cuttino Mobley makes 20-foot jumper(AC)
(6:41) Cuttino Mobley makes driving dunk(AC)
(0:54) Cuttino Mobley makes two point shot(AI)
(0:31)Cuttino Mobley makes free throw 1 of 2(JR)
Cuttino Mobley makes free throw 1 of 2

2nd qtr
(6:22) Cuttino Mobley makes 25-foot three point jumper (Melo)

3Rd qtr The Nuggets played a lot on Zone in the 3rd
(7:16) Cuttino Mobley makes 18-foot jumper (zone)
(5:22) Cuttino Mobley makes 21-foot jumper (zone)
(4:05) Cuttino Mobley makes jumper(Melo)
(3:47) Cuttino Mobley makes driving layup(Martin)
(0:01) Cuttino Mobley makes 18-foot jumper (AI)

4Th qtr
(4:58) Cuttino Mobley makes 13-foot two point shot (Diawara)

If you are going to blame Melo for something make sure its for something he actually did.
Allowing fear to permeate your being will hamper your dreams before you even begin them.

He's been on the bench and dressed for all of the games since the strained groin.

yes he was on the bench and like others said before he's still injured!

After four inspiring appearances, Nene has missed the past two games because of a right groin strain. The Nuggets power forward underwent an MRI before Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, and though it revealed only a muscle strain, the cautious Nuggets staff kept Nene out of the game at the Staples Center.

"We were shooting for 10, 15 minutes (per game), and moving that up to 15, 20, so this probably slows down that process," Denver coach George Karl said. "His minutes he has played for us have been pretty good. There's a presence and a spirit to when he plays

Groin injury. Atkins didn't even play during garbage time, yet he doesn't have any injuries reported, Karl doesn't want to play him at all?

Complaining about defense, then saying we should play Atkins more.

Wouldn't mind seeing Diawara being our perimeter stopper but that is a pipe dream. Wouldn't mind seeing Hunter giving Camby some rest but Atkins?!? Shaq could blow by Atkins on the perimeter.

Another interesting aspect... in the same article Coach Karl was asked whether he should use Diawara more to boost the defense a little.

At times, reserve guard Yakhouba Diawara is one of Denver's top defenders. But he is seldom one of Denver's top offensive players. That said, the Nuggets' defense had been awful entering the game against the Clippers. But when Karl was asked whether Diawara might get a few minutes to jolt the defense, Karl said: "I don't think I'm going that far. The rhythm of the team is short rotation. Long rotation would break the rhythm of the team."

-RockyMountainNews

this is a complete joke, so the short rotation keeps Chucky, Hunter and Diawara from playing? really, Karl this is a joke isn't it??

The only thing that gets in my mind is the fact that the nuggets are very softly handled by Karl getting always days off when they score 130 or achieve 30 assists... :noway:

(picture)

Yeah, it's a joke.
