What exactly is that supposed to mean? Especially considering everything Denver has done for him since he was almost out of the league whne we got him.

Jerking him around with minutes. Playing AC more minutes than JR for the majority of the season. And generally scapegoating him for the performance of the team.

JR is a phenomenal player. A Ginobli in the making...

Denver is wasting his talent and all signs point to more of the same next year after they pick up another bum pg in the off-season and continue believing AI and a bum is better than AI and JR in the back-court.

You only got so many years to be great, JR should go for self and let the nuggets figure out how to get out this mess they got themselves in.

Strictly business...

CLE might target JR....him and Lebron are friends (they play in the summer) and obviously with his shooting he would fit.

CLE has alot of expiring contracts to work a S&T if Denver decides they need to drop some salary in a potential deal. Might spice it up with a pick?

If not the most CLE could offer is the MLE which you guys would match

If Denver wanted to save money with JR, they just wouldn't sign him at all, so there would be no need for a S&T. And like you said, Denver will definitely match anything up to the MLE.

We don't even have to use the MLE to resign him if I am not mistaken. We should have his bird rights and can match any offer. I think Denver will let him test the market a bit and see what kind of a deal/deals he gets offered and decide what to do from there.

There are not a lot of teams that can offer a great amount for him, and those that can will most likely target some other free agents before JR. JR has also indicated that he would like to return to the Nuggets, so I am expecting him to stick around for a few more years.

Another advantage for the Nuggets is that teams know that Denver will probably match an offer and they won't want that money locked up for the 14 days that teams have to wait to see if a team will match or not, which might cause another team to miss out on trying to sign someone else.

Correct. My point was that Denver would match any other teams' offer (which can only be up to the MLE (unless you're the Sixers or Grizzlies)).

I agreed with you, I was just adding to it.

The smart thing for JR to do is take the qualifying offer and become an unrestricted FA next season. The Nuggets cant trade him if he take the qualifying offer and he can pick the team he wants, this would force the Nuggets to either over pay him or still over pay him via a sign and trade to get something for him leaving.

no, TJ is way to injury prone and JR fits exactly what we need at the sg.

Think he'll listen to his agent? I'm putting the odds on him getting into another offseason altercation/accident/incident and completely ruining his stock. Then his agent will blow him off.
