What would it take for the Cavs to have him?

Probably any offer well above the MLE would get him.

I really think him and Bron are a bad mix.

Done deal. I think we get another cap exception with Eric Snow retiring since we're over the cap. I think we can get up to half his salary.

Bron and JR duo would be badass

There is little to no chance that Denver is going to sign and trade JR, they have every intention of keeping him, so I doubt that Cleveland has a chance of getting him.

I could see a way for it to happen but then again its not realistic

I would love to hear how it could happen, even if the cavs get an exception for Snow it will be less then $4 million, and they are over the cap, which means they have to go through Denver to do it, and Denver wants to keep him and has no interest in adding salary next year.

JR has way too much talent for the Nuggets to let him walk. Especially when no team can really afford to give him more than the Nuggets can.

don't be.

denver won't do a sign and trade because jr at around the mle is better value than most in the league (including anyone on the cleveland roster...i mean, he'd be automatically your second best player).....and they don't want to add that much salary (so a 6+ million s&t for an inferior player is out of the question as well)
denver will match anything up to the mle.
i doubt a team under the cap will take a risk by paying him 6+ million, knowing his history.

Denver will probably try their best to scare off other teams by threatening to match offers on JR.

If they succeed they'll probably turn around and low ball the kid.

JR needs to be smart and get serious about showing his desire to 'graduate' in a sense,.. and move on to a better coach, better organization, with a better system in place.

He should be begging the Spurs to give him a chance and sign him to an offer sheet,.. then go back and tell the Nuggets he doesnt want them to match and he doesnt want to come back to Denver.

The G.Karl Nuggets situation is real fragile, and ready to fall apart anyway.

IF the Nuggets really want to keep him I doubt they lowball him, they have never low balled any player they wanted to stay.

So JR should go be the backup for the Spurs? does anybody think that he could pull half the stuff that he has in his short career, and stay a Spur?

I think JR has done enough damage to himself in his brief career to cause the lowballing to begin with. He will get whatever the highest offer for him will be, and to get more than the MLE another team has to really want him and have the cap space to throw more at him, but I think Denver would still match the offer.
