Re: Hinrich, Gordon, Nocioni and Gray for Camby and Iverson
so you want to be the bulls but with melo instead of deng and derrick rose? Gordon would be terrible for the nuggets. Just another streaky selfish undersized guard who cant even hold iversons jock. Your crazy if you would do this trade. You get thin up front and pick up 2 bad contracts. You wanna rely on Nene at center? You wanna continue to suck at defense and get worse on offense?

how do you figure we would get worse offensively if we got rid of a 7fter who lives around the perimeter and a 6ft SG who dribbles too much has no idea what ball movement is?

I may not do it, simply because it may leave us in salary cap hell for much longer than we want. Gordon would have to be re-signed, for a fairly large Nene type contract, Hinrich is already owed more than Camby, and I have very little faith that Nocioni would be around for more than next season, due to our gluy at SF and our lack of cap space.

done....done....and done......this would be a dream come true....the salary cap problems would be interesting, but we'd have some good young pieces to move. I don't think we'd have any problem moving Gordon to another team. After that we'd have to decide out of LK and Nocioni who we'd want to move.....which again wouldn't be a problem. No idea why Chicago would do this, except for the expirings next year.

Nocioni expires next year anyways, depends what type of deal we gave Gordon but I dont think we'd be in salary cap hell, atleast not as bad of shape as we are in right now... Bulls do need a scoring threat and I think Rose and AI would be a great back court, just dont see Paxson being the guy who trades for AI

Is Gray just filler or can he actually run and play some post D?
When you talk about getting worse on D, remember that Iverson would be gone and the Nugs could no longer rely on the "funnel the play to Camby" strategy. Those could be good things. Defensively, Hinrich is an improvement over Iverson, and by necessity Carmelo and JR would need to step up on the defensive end.
Plus if Nene comes back...
I like the deal.

A lot of Bull fans are high on Gray.
Noc isn't expiring as I saw someone mention, he has 4 years left at 8-9 million plus a year I believe.
That's the biggest drawback to this. Switch Noc to Gooden and I'd love this. Still isn't bad as is, though.

Sometimes these sites are wrong, but according to this:
http://hoopshype.com/salaries/chicago.htm
I thought it looked like he only has 1 year left.

Re: Hinrich, Gordon, Nocioni and Gray for Camby and Iverson
Good value, but alot of long term salary.
Money concerns aside, I think it address some of the Nuggets needs (PG, three point shooting, defense) Problem is, I don't really know if the Nuggets would have flexibility under the cap to fill the rest of them (lack of big men depth, especially considering how injury prone our two starting big men would be).
Would probably have to do a follow up trade to get some more depth at the 4/5.
Overall pretty good, but I'd probably rather trade Camby for Hinrich, and see what other offers there are for AI

oh my bad, I was the one who said Nocioni was expiring next year... Hoopshype is sometimes late on updatng teams salaries but commenting on that "is gray just a filler or can he play defense" I think grays only problem is his dedication to basketball other than that think hes an absolute beast.. I remember him abusing camby in that last bulls Nuggets game this year.

Who hasn't abused Camby?
But yeah, I've seen that said about Gray too. He and Nene could play cards together.

The Bulls would be instant contenders.
The Nuggets, well, no play-offs for them in the west.
