Fazekas wants to come home to Nuggets

Post#1 » by bigdave01 » Thu Sep 25, 2008 12:51 am

Nick Fazekas signed a non-guarunteed contract with the Nuggets, and expects to make the team. I know a fair amount about Fazekas, and I think he has a lot of potential. He has never really practiced well, but he always plays great in games, and was good for the Clippers last year.

okay, in my eyes his 4,7ppg and 3,9 rpg in just about 11 minutes per game sound pretty good to me

He's the definition of Moe's famous Denver Stiff. George Karl will not use him.

How about a Hunter update, does Karl plan on giving him any minutes this season? Nothing ever gets said about him or so it seems.

Ugh. Horrendous feet. Sure he's a big body, but I just don't see him doing anything for us.

the only thing this guy can do is hit the open-midrange jumpers.

basically useless at everything else... not good enough for NBA for me.

Elton Brown or Robert Horry would be better pickups.

Because Robert Horry is waiting for that phone call from the Nuggets...

Fazekas may not be athletic, but he will get a lot of rebounds, and is a great post scorer. He also has a great outside jumper. He definitely has a place in the league.

If he was "great" at all those things he'd be an all-star. However, I would put him on Birdman's talent level and guess those two will battle for leftover minutes.
