I would say no. He would be better at SF and part time at PF, than playing SG.

I doubt he gets traded, team refused to trade him for Artest, and he is one of Karl's favorite players. The deal would have to be uber sweet to get Denver to make it.

He does OK with spot-duty at off-guard, but he lacks the lateral quickness needed to keep up with most guards on defense. His ideal position is at SF, where he is an average defender, but nothing special. His potential will never be reached here with Melo in his way. I wouldn't mind him being traded for a high-level PG or PF/C prospect. The FO and Karl love him, so it'd likely have to be lottery pick talent for them to consider trading him.
