thats why this team will be a 1st round exit this year, they only turn it on when the game is on the line... cant ever put together a full game of Great quality basketball

well from what i saw, everybody played like crap except nene in the first half. AI especially. I almost feel like his heart isnt in it, and the commentators were raggin on him. He probably got word of it and suddenly the old AI was back. But if thats what its going to take to get AI to play full tilt, denver has no chance wiht him on the roster. jr was invisible until the fourth and overtime.

the game was rough.

I'm pretty much writing the Laker game off as a blow out. Plan on going paint balling during the game to take my mind off it.

Awesome game from Jone, JR, and Nene. JR is improving with strides. Passing and rebounding? This has to be his first double double. Great to see Nene having fun and back in form again. I really didn't think he had it in him to rebound, but he proved me wrong.

AI really looked depressed out there. Hopefully he's not still down on not being captain. I don't think AI is that petty, but that's the only thing I can think of...

We win, I noted J.R's passing last season, especially in the playoffs against the Lakers.

For supposedly immature, talented player, he is unselfish. That's what makes him from good to very good. He has to do this consistently.

Great win!! :D

Great comeback win. I sometimes wonder if I'm watching the same game that the announcers are watching. The guy was getting all over Iverson. In the first two games A.I has tried to play more of a team game. So he's taking less shots. George Karl told him to do that. Anyway J.R was great down the stretch. Nene was great overrall. Kenyon overcame a terrible start. Kleiza was AWFUL once again but he hit two HUGE freethrows. I dont think they could have won a game like this last year.
Thats why Im easy easy like Sunday morning.

If the Lakers blowout Denver coming off of the sweep last year and Carmelo returning I will be very worried about this season. A.I looking depressed. HUH

The way this team plays when Carmelo comes back will be dramatically different, I would hope, so I will reserve judgement until Carmelo gets a couple games under his belt with this team.

I like the win.

While you are at it take note of how many rebounds he had in the game. The guy has improved in the little areas of the game and put a lot of time in over the summer with the coaches working on things like this. He still takes some wild shots, but I don't mind that a bit because he is doing everything else on the floor, at least he did tonight.

Wow, I got home just in time to see the very end of the 4th and overtime. I guess I'll stay up and watch the replay on Altitude.

It's good that Karl is finally realizing JR needs to be on the floor late in games. Hopefully when Melo comes back he'll still in there, and AC will hit the bench.
And no Balkman tonight? wtf.

Great win, shows lots of character from the team to come back from a large deficit, im liking this new look nugs never hanging their heads regardless of the score.

The only negative was i didn't see balkman getting any playing time what's the deal with him and karl?

i've heard karl likes him. he's certainly said good stuff about him in the preseason...and the +10 against utah can't be ignored. balkman probably still has a bad ankle and isn't 100%.

I think Balkman did not get in the game due to Jones and JR both having such good games, with many of their minutes coming while playing SF, and KMart playing 39 minutes at PF. I just think he was lost in the shuffle, which will happen when we have so many options at his spot.

I see, thanks for the info guys, Im happy that karl likes him so he should get some playing time, his defense and energy will be a big asset to this team.

That was a great early season game to watch - at least the outcomes. Yeah there's still a lot of improvement but you can sense the will to win in this team a lot more so than last season.

If we play like we did the second half of this game and the second half in Utah we would be a pretty damn hard team to beat...
