Horrible game after 1st quarter.
I just can't believe that our " bigs" cant rebound the ball, instead they expect somebody else to do it. They got used to watching Camby do it for them

I miss Iverson, I hope Billups and can really come in and make an impact, and by that I mean help us win a lot of games. That will help get over Iverson....

I certainly don't. I believe there were 17 assists in the 1st half. Number dropped in the 2nd, but with Billups here, the team will have a lot more ball movement than with AI. And Melo seems to be buying in to passing more as well. All good things. And oh dear.. JR didn't play great at PG, oh no.

WE DON'T HAVE ANY ****ING SETS! DID YOU FORGET?

karl was asked what he'll say to billups tomorrow (today) when he sees him. karl said "i'll tell him i'll do whatever he wants"

you think think a player who's spent his entire (successful) career playing structured halfcourt basketball is going to want a team that isos and runs around with its head cut off?

Same **** after AI left, no running any plays, go get your own shot...

well yea. you take iverson out of a system that's somewhat designed for iverson & melo, and you put AC/JR at point...and it'll look very much the same.

.

i think you guys will be pretty blown away by what a true floor leader and true point guard can do for a team.

I swear, our bigs are useless against the zone. And I'm so **** sick of Kenyon Martin shooting jumpers. I thought Camby was a worse player on offense, how foolish do I look now?

The only bright spot was Carmelo. I'm not going to say he was great, but he did give 100% effort, played good defense, and his fga wouldn't look so high if they called a damn foul on some of those.

Nene hit 6/8 from the field and go for 7/7 ft, collect 15 boards, reject 3 balls and you have a problem with him getting more touch´s! Amazing!

When did I say I had a problem? Someone said he should've got more touches and I said he had enough touches for that game. Its true too.

He also had 4 turnovers....thats a lot of turnovers for a big man.....I watched the game and most of these turnovers came from him getting double (or triple) teamed in the post and watching him either A) refuse to pass the ball out and go to the basket.... B) try and make some spectacular steve nash pass through 3 warriors...........It's just something he needs to work on...the second he see's the double coming......kick it out, and when he kicks it, they should feed it back to him then he can make a move 1v1. But he did have a good game besides that.........although AB had a WICKED DUNK in his face... lol

Okay, 17 assists YAY! but we also had 20 turnovers.....9 in one quarter......ugh.....chauncey should help with that....Jr is not meant to handle the ball.....and it was stupid that he was. I wouldve rather seen jones or melo bringing it up than JR.

Actually, I think when JR played limited minutes at the point last season he was very effective. He just had a bad game that's all, but I agree AC should have been in the game more. Once Chucky comes back healthy we have some solid depth at the guard position. I just hope it doesn't take Chucky too long to get back into the shooting groove.

Wright is the real deal. He just hasn't had any kind of opportunity until last night. You guys needed Harrington not to suck. When Nellie finally had to bench Harrington despite his desire to showcase him for trades, that sealed the game's fate.

Oh man, what a horrible 3.5 quarters! Forced everything. JR had the right idea driving to the basket but forgot to go around the defender, Melo and Martin guilty of that couple of times too.

Is it just me or is it odd that after the Birdman's dunk celebration the Nuggets just didn't back it up. They thought dunks like that were going to come easy and they just didn't.

Billups will help this. He is exactly the answer for this type of game. Melo and Martin, full of passion and no direction. We know what they can do, now we can see it come out and play all game long.

No more games like these! :o

Billups is the answer! Twice Melo was in the paint and kicked the ball out to a wide open AC for a three, who clanked them both. If Melo is willing to pass to someone whose likely to miss, just think how many more assists a game he will have when he knows the person can hit them.

Return to Denver Nuggets
