Andersen and PT?

Post#1 » by akaFlip » Thu Dec 11, 2008 4:49 am

Hey all, here to ask about Andersen and the playing time he gets.
Is it constant playing time or just here and there?

Im asking due to the fact that my fantasy team is in desperate need of blocks and Andersen seems to have been beasting in that category this year.

Thought I'd ask those who know best.

He's been getting consistent minutes this year. Even his first game back from his injury he got 23 minutes.

He's our only true backup to Nene and Kenyon....so if/when they go down(like Kmart has the past couple games), he'll get even more burn. But you can expect 15-20 minutes every night either way. That's not a whole lot, but he is still 3rd in the league in BPG despite the limited minutes(has had at least one block every game hes played this year).....and will also give you around 5 boards a night.

I don't know if he's worth a fantasy spot in regular leagues, unless you're good in points, assists, etc etc...but in deeper leagues, he's definitely worth a look.

The thing is I'm thinking of dropping Dalembert for him (which right now is sucking big time)

So I wouldnt necessarily be missing much in terms of points and boards, I need the blocks.

boards and blocks are both things that Andersen will get you, however I would not look for much else from him, as much of what he does do not show up in fantasy play.
