A lot of positives out there tonight for the Nuggets. I expect tomorrows game to be about the same but maybe the cushion between the teams will be little tighter one way or the other. I doubt Dahntay Jones will shut Roy down like this again in Portland's building.

Nene can go right around their centers, we need to clear out, give him some space and let him go to work with his quick first step. JR rebounded well, heck, the team rebounded well. Portland is one of the top rebounding teams in the league and we had a nice advantage on the boards tonight. Kleiza stepped up.

I don't know what the early Atkins sighting was all about, poor Chucky can't catch a break with Karl for some reason and earn some minutes. Balkman can't either and he even does very well when given minutes.

do you guys always get that kinda treatment in Denver?

refs basically eliminating Roy from the game with ticky tack fouls and an awful charge call when Nene didnt even have his feet on the ground lmao.

just brutal. plus 20+ more free throws lol... yikes...

always. its surprising we don't win 41 games here in denver considering the officiating edge we get.

just brutal. plus 20+ more free throws lol... yikes...

seriously though...
you guys are a jumpshooting team. roy can get into the paint, oden can get his jumphooks, pryz will give you a couple garbage points....but everyone else is a jumpshooter. outlaw even prefers a jumpshot to anything else. when you shoot jumpers, you won't get to the line.

last i checked denver leads the league in points in the paint. when you run into the paint and a large part of your offense comes in the paint you draw fouls. kleiza does it, jr does it, kmart does it, nene does it, jones & birdman will only shoot jumpshots if they're forced to.

haha. were you being sarcastic? i cant tell.

the Jazz seem to get a huge edge in Mormon land, I really am surprised they ever lose at home with that BS.

but onto the game.. Kleiza was an ANIMAL tonight. props to him. he was driving to the goal like his life was on the line. I really dont remember him driving like that... he was like a white Maggette. was he just pissed because the Blazers traded him? or is he just a slasher now? because I always remember him as being more of a shooter (although I do know he could drive but not like THAT) lol

Well the home team always gets a slight edge... While I disagree with some of the fouls on Roy, I can't dispute that Denver didn't earn the fouls as they were the more agressive team all night long.

Besides, Portland's never had much luck in Denver anyways. It must be the altitude. :D I expect tomorrow's game to be much more competitive on Portland's part.

Kleiza was probably a little driven when finding out JR got the starting spot. He is capable of driving like that.

Figures. Last 3 games not as aggressive and lots of fouls went against us.

Some teams come to the altitude and seem perfectly fine. I would think the best conditioned teams would have the least resistance. But either team can get winded fast up here if playing inefficiently on either side of the ball.

In some games we have had some weak calls for being the home team. It probably evens out over the course of a season, at least I would like to think that it does.

Good win. We played much better than I was expecting.
Great games from Kleiza and Jr tonight, Nene was awesome too.
Looking forward to tomorrow night, should be a good close game.

Nuggets are still the same ol Nuggets, show up against young inexperienced teams, but hide against big boys. Very similar to teams of previous years, only to a lesser degree.

Just when I thought a loss would actually be good if losing 4 in a row is what it takes to get Karl canned.

Nene should win an honorary "Dancing with the Stars" award, because he absolutely crushed every Portland big man on the block. All that futbol growing up has certainly given him some special abilities.

Also, I feel absolutely horrible for poor Greg Oden (well, as bad as you can feel for a multi multi millionaire in his early twenties). The guy just doesn't look like he's having any fun, and everyone is gunning for him. Unless they ship him off to confidence camp, that kid is going nowhere fast.

I don't think they hide against the big boys this year... They beat Boston in Boston...competed against Houston and play like crap but it was only a 3 point game with 5 plus minutes... honestly, I think the last 3 games might have been different if Melo wasn't out there...I am not a Melo hater, but he wasn't helping the team...he's injured and needs to get right... not saying they win all three, but maybe one, possibly two... I am quite sure Portland will be into tomorrow's game more from tonight's loss (plus they are a really good team). The Nuggets will have to be on there A game and Chauncey needs some serious rest.

Fair enough. Don't take me wrong, I'm not trying to use altitude to excuse my team's loss, but Portland seemed to lack a step considering that they've had 3 days off (and last time they had this much time off, they killed Sacramento by 30 +). Now granted, they were playing Sacramento, but it seemed like they were playing at their best during that game. Tonight, while the Blazers weren't playing at their worst by any means, could've definitely topped this performance. I guess being on the road certainly doesn't help! I guess approximately 23 hours will give us all a clearer idea, but I tend to think the Blazers will play much better at the Rose Garden tomorrow. It should be a good one though!

A few things to consider. Denver was on a 3 game skid against some tough competition and had a chance to win two of them, but fell short on the road. The Cavs wiped the floor with us on ESPN. We lost our number one scoring option and his replacements stepped up to show that they also deserve some minutes. It will be interesting to see how we come out and start the next game.

Just finished watching the game, what a great game! The Nuggets looked very good on both ends of the court. Billups couldn't buy a shot in the second half, and Kleiza was actually hitting shots. Go figure. Aldridge killed us in the 4th, the man couldn't miss a jump shot....

JR was a stud, Nene was a stud, I think Birdman get's rejected just as much as he rejects people lol

Let's get steal one tonight. GO NUGGETS!

Really I thought the biggest source of frustration was Joe Sakic being take out by a snowblower.

Anyhow I was pretty impressed by your team last night. Other than a few bonehad plays from Martin they were a pretty discplined unit that played well defensively ans shared the ball.

Btw how many tatoo artists are on the Nuggets payroll?

Look at this guy. Chauncey Billups would be ashamed of you for writing off today's game. You and Anthony Carter should open-mouth kiss.

Maybe he wants to keep Nene as far away from gravy as possible because gravy leads to biscuits and we don't want anything resembling doughboy Nene here again. The slimmed down and in shape version is a much better product.
