Ugly win but we'll take it. Good thing Birdman threw up that halfcourt prayer.

I also thought Dahntay played a great game. Seemed like when our offense was stagnant, he was cutting or taking it to the rim and drawing the foul. 16 pts on 5 fga ain't bad at all.

Kleiza and JR played poorly, that's for sure. Give JR credit for playing decent D and passing the ball late though. I'm so over Linas Kleiza, I can't believe all that we've passed on for him.

Horrible win. At least it was a win. A couple tough ones coming up in PHO and ORL.

I'm thinking Melo has silent leadership qualities. We miss them because he does make mistakes. I think we need Melo and Chauncey working together to keep pushing this team.

I think it's only the motivation that is lacking. These guys can do it. Put the nose to the grindstone and crank out 25 more wins. They can do it.

We know they can do it, they just need to get that motivation out and use it. Mediocrity, or the cream of the crop. Keep em motivated.

Yes, many critical moments in this game where the guys just stood around. They need to be pushed. When there's nothing behind them, limp flag in the wind.

Mark Cuban is an absolute disgrace. It says a lot when he's not nearly as mature as any of the players on his team.

i'm not surprised JR played as poorly as he did. he SHOULD have been in court. why front office and Karl didn't force him to be there is beyond me.

News says he was cited for contempt and pretrial resched for feb 17th when the Nuggs are on an east coast swing. Idk you wouldn't want to be thinking about it for another month, but whatever they want to do.

Cuban apparently approached J.R. around halftime about an elbow thrown and told J.R. personally he would file a complaint with the N.B.A. that would suspend J.R.

Completely unrelated, but adds up to a mojo buster for J.R. last night. Just a funk you can't shake.

Well, he'd be on the plane, but 7pm traffic court would be something new! Maybe traffic court via halftime show. Not to make a mockery of it, but that would probably have more effect on a player's conscience. A court of one's peers.

Apparently JR was told by his attorney that it was not necessary for him to be there for a pre-trial hearing. Hence he didn't make the trip. I don't think you can blame him for not being in court if his lawyer told him not to.
But of course go figure they did want him in court and just more drama for JR. It never ends.

are you guys trying to tell me that this wasn't bothering him eough to effect his game?

Nuggets' guard J.R. Smith now faces a contempt charge for failing to appear in municipal court due of Smith's involvement with a 2007 car crash that led to the death of a good friend, the Denver Post is reporting.

Smith's lawyer Greg Mordas told judge Debra Gelson that he took responsibility for Smith's absence, and told Smith that because it was a pretrial conference, Smith didn't need to attend.

"I understand, but this is a fatal accident," Gelson said. "He is required to be at every pretrial hearing. . . . Mr. Smith is to appear (Feb. 17)."

Cuban...........seriously when the elbow connects that maybe understandable but a phantom elbow that didn't even touch.

Even then the refs are the one that need to call that if it's that bad.

Yeah, we need the video of the elbow thrown, then Cuban talking to Dahntay and Chauncey, then talking to JR, and then to close we need it to end with Cuban blowing up at the refs.

Can anyone do that?

Jr is just shrugging him off, Wright was all over him. Cuban is a dramatic little bitch.

We have seen waaay worse. That was more of a "give me my personal space back" warning. If they condone hacking to prevent layups at the end of the game, back and forth shoving held to a minimum should be tolerated. Now, if JR had turned around, calculated an elbow to the face or ribs and meant to hurt the man then yeah that is a flagrant. I'm just not seeing why the Cuban drama.

Seriously, if Cuban came up to JR, shoved him, and stayed on him, pushing off you don't think JR would put his hands up somehow to ward him off?

How many times in a year does a big man in the post go up and elbow the ribs of some unsuspecting defender? It's a battle.

I hate Cuban. He's always crying about something.

I love the way this worked out. Who was Cuban screaming at after the game?
