Damn, this board is empty.
Anyway, have to have strong 3rd quarter.

another win without melo. yay

jr & lk were both pretty good. chauncey shot horrible and made some pretty terrible decisions for some reason (flu?). kmart and nene were big around the basket. and kmart came through with his clutch 3 once again...i don't think i'll ever get used to that or have confidence in it.

solid victory again.

grant hill and doug collins can suck it with their foul call. we've been screwed over enough to deserve a break once in awhile.

Great win. Richardson was scaring me there a little, he always seems to kill us. Luckily he cooled off after the first.

Nice to see J.R. passing the ball well the past couple games despite his poor shooting, him and Kleiza really bounced back after the Dallas game. I couldn't believe some of Chauncey's shot selection either. That 30-footer late in the fourth... ?

Chuckin treys ftw.

Phew. What a fun game.
It's good to see us pulling off these wins late in the game against tough teams, especially without Carmelo.

I'd still like to see us give the ball to Nene more late in the game though. Amare had 5 fouls the entire 4th quarter and we should have attacked him every possession, but didn't. There's no one that could have stopped Nene down there in the paint.

Seriously. The one that stuck out to me was I think with a minute or so to go in the 4th....Nene had the ball slightly above the free throw line...everyone was basically cleared out and Amare was right in front of the hoop. There were 7 or 8 secs on the shot clock and Amare is sitting back there with 5 fouls. What does Nenê do....shoot and brick a jumpshot. WTF is that about? GO AT HIM. God damn.

KMart has had pretty good numbers games this season, and for whatever reason, I always thought he had bad games...

Dahntay Jones seems to be improving on his shot. When will we see Johan Petro? damn Karl..

with kmart that is just hard work......his bricks are ugly as ever but he's adjusting and putting in the good work and getting it done and his dunks are so good sometimes we just get lost in the fact he tosses a brick up......but then he has 3 great dunks and a surprise three out of nowhere

remember him early in the game with the ball staying anywhere but his hands....pretty nice adjustment come crunch time, pretty nice

Great game last night. Good crowd, too. The PA is FINALLY trying to get the crowd into the game before the last 5 minutes- always thought that was his job, silly me.

Anyway, I just wanted to point out one stat:

1st half: give up 62 points
2nd half & overtime: 51 points

That is a nice defensive effort right there. Nobody seemed to notice, but nice anyways.

I see that one the last play of regulation, most say G-Hill got fouled. They didnt show the replay at the Can- was he fouled? I sit on the side of the benches, so my view was pretty blocked but it looked like he got hammered.

That 2002-03 Laker team went on to lose to the Spurs in the second round. I remember because I was a Laker fan then. -Snakefromhell

I was behind the suns basket, I thought it looked like a foul. But the refs rarely call something like that in a tied game with that little time left(dallas game was the exception).

Great game, good to see the Nuggets pulling out these home wins even without Melo. One more to go on Saturday, lets make it 6-1!

Might have been a foul, but the Suns got away with a few no-calls as well.

They should be more mad at themselves for giving up a big lead.

I don't think the Suns should have a thing to complain about since their lead in the first half was due to the whistles going only one way. It was impossible for the Nuggets to get any momentum at first and suddenly they were down 11.

I am actually amazed the Nuggs won this game. After the first half performance it seemed as though we should have been down 25, not 6. Things just aren't clicking on the offensive end, not enough movement without the ball, too many players that don't wanna shoot. I just don't think Denver is playing it's best ball right now at all. It's not even close.

A lot of this is because of the fact that Melo isn't out there drawing a double team every time the Nuggets get the ball, so guys like JR, LK, and even CB aren't getting the open looks they normally get.
