Plus you could replace Kleiza indirectly by dealing Petro's expiring deal to bring in Warrick. Bet Melo would like that.

I am sure you think that giving up a potential top 5 pick is not overpaying, .

When does that Bobcat's pick become unprotected? Believe it is 2014. Thats 5 years off. If the Clippers can have a good season then so can the Bobcats. Who knows how good or bad the Cats will be 5 years from now. What if its the 12th pick in a draft with no depth? Well you get the idea.

If you add John Salmons, use the MLE, and use the trade exception to acquire a big that team is a contender next year. I've watched the Nuggets since Alex English and ya know what I'd like to finally see them win a title.

I doubt the FO would use the trade exception if they have Salmon's contract putting them over the lux tax this season.

John Salmons will never be the "piece" to a contending club that puts them over the top and helps them win a championship. I don't know what John Salmons did in the league to make you think that he's the next best thing since MJ...but he's not all that and a bag of chips.

and unless you get Kobe or his son Coby to get to play SG...there aren't many in the league GK would start over his new man-crush this year Dahntay Jones.

Honestly, I think we need a back-up 4/5 or back up PG before we think about a SG... and I just don't see Salmons helping the Nuggets. Not to mention that his true position is SF...I think the Nuggets have a pretty good SF... just my opinion on that one...

SMGM23,

My theory is John Salmons plus one. One example i tossed out was Salmons before the deadline and Rasheed Wallace in the summer.
