Detroit fan here...

Post#1 » by m23uza1hem36 » Fri Apr 17, 2009 6:08 pm

Good luck in the playoffs, I'll be rooting for Chauncey and the Nuggets to go far, I think I speak on the behalf of most Pistons fans when saying that. Sadly my team will most likely be an easy out for the Cavaliers... :(

Thank you, and while I know it is hard to positive in the situation that Detroit is in, there is always a chance. Plus you never know what you guys could get for the cap room.

I do have hope, I don't think its impossible for us to win, it's just tall order but I'm used to that if anyone is a Philadelphia Eagle fan and saw what they did.

As for the cap space, I just hope we don't go after Boozer in all honestly, which is what everyone believes. I think he's highly over rated and has Derent Williams feeding him the ball is a big help, Stucky is no Derent.

As for the Nuggets, I was reading over multiple threads on the board and most of you believe you can't win or go to the finals. In all honestly, the only team you can't beat I believe is the Lakers, who knows maybe Houston shocks them if they meet in the second round. As for the Spurts, Chauncey has seen them in the finals he knows how to beat them, with Carmelo and Smith along him for offense I'm sure its possible to beat anyone they go up against except for the Lakers.

I think the thing that's messed up is Detroit doesn't even end up using Iverson in a playoff battle with Cleveland. We all know why he isn't playing.....but 20 mil......make him work dammit. What happens in the off season happens in the off season. Plus NBA fans probably want to see something along the lines of Iverson vs. LeBron, even if it's just a token matchup of star vs star.

Now, if Detroit can hang with Cleveland despite Iverson's sitch, there will definitely be something to root for. The only sad part for us is we could have used a big like MacDyess had he been more level headed.

Pistons win it all, and Iverson gets his ring with a team that won't let him play. How ironic would that be

All those Denver fans who talked crap to Detroit fans when we insisted we needed a pick and or Klieza because Billups was better than AI... and all those denver fans who would talk about AI's PPG and Billup's PPG...

I hope you all learned something.

I like most Pistons fans was not happy with AI... I justified that even if we failed with AI we'd have FA to look forward to but we all knew Billups was our team MVP the past several years and most of us knew that Iverson was not a Detroit Pistons type player.

There is so much more to the NBA than PPG and stats and Billups has "it" and Iverson doesn't.

WTF?

Im sure those "fans" followed AI to the Detriot board because most Denver fans wanted AI gone and knew right away we got a steal when we traded for Billups.

If it's Kleiza you want, you can have him.

Let me help you find those that used to argue with you over AI, the last place I saw them was at this link, although they may have moved on to parts unknown at this point

viewforum.php?f=14

A good way to find them is to post something negative about AI on the general board, thay are sure to show up pretty quickly.

At this point I would trade Kleiza for a bag of chips, just to make sure he doesn't resign here after his good two games this offseason.

At least get a lifetime supply of chips, and dip. His salary is too high to settle for a single bag. Then enjoy the 09-10 season with an enhanced snacking experience with much less clanking.

What a surprise there is one there at this very moment  Even though it was supposed to be about Detroit, it quickly turned into an AI vs. the World thread, which is hard to believe.

I don't miss the circus act that follows AI around everywhere he goes. For a team to have to put up with them, it is worth a throw in pick on any trade involving Iverson imo.
